About Us

We welcome you to join us, Marie and Peter, at our property on 2 peaceful acres set amongst vineyards and olive groves in the world renowned McLaren Vale wine region.

Peter has lived in this area for over 35 years having previously owned and operated his own vineyard, winery and fruit orchard on the adjoining property. Marie's background is in business management however a lifestyle change in 2008 led us to work in tourism and hospitality in Far North Queensland. Peter worked as an accredited Savannah Guide whilst Marie enjoyed her time making guests comfortable, informed and happy.

On returning to our property in McLaren Vale we decided tourism and hospitality is where we belong and set up our home, and vehicle, to welcome guests and to show off our beautiful area.

The business is aptly called 'Friends at McLaren Vale' as we offer the same service and attention you would receive staying with your own friends.

We even provide free transfers within 5 kms., if you are attending a wedding, function, or dinner. As accredited tour operators we can also take you on a full or half day wine tasting tour, or a Fleurieu Peninsula regional tour.

'Friends' who will make you feel welcome, provide you with a delicious breakfast and, as Accredited Tour Operators, can even take you sightseeing.

The symbol of the ladybird reflects good luck and reminds us that our life cycle can be short, so it is important to relax and live life to the full.
